The U.S. Department of Energy (''DOE'') is finalizing a one-year delay of certain product-specific enforcement provisions related to the controls verification procedure established in a recently published final rule amending the test procedures for central air conditioners and heat pumps (notified as G/TBT/N/USA/552/Rev.3/Add.1The effective date of this rule is 9 September 2025.This final rule delays the implementation of the controls verification procedure (CVP) enforcement provisions until 7 July 2026. Under the January 2025 Final Rule, the implementation date of the CVP enforcement provisions was 7 July 2025.
