다음을 제외하고 IEC 60669-1:2017 제1절이 적용된다: 첫 번째 단락을 다음으로 대체한다: IEC 60669의 본 부는 실내 또는 실외의 가정용 및 이와 유사한 고정 전기설비에 사용하기 위한 것으로서 정격 전압이 AC 440 V 이하이고 정격 전류가 63 A 이하인 전자기 원격제어 스위치(이하 “전자기 RCS”라 한다)에 적용한다. 제어 회로의 경우, 정격 제어 전압은 AC 440 V 또는 DC 220 V를 초과하지 않는다. RCS 코일은 상시 여자되는 것과 상시 여자되지 않는 것 모두 가능하다. 전자식 RCS는 IEC 60669-2-1의 적용 범위에 속하며 본 문서의 적용 범위에는 속하지 않는다. 저항기, 커패시터, 정온도계수(PTC) 및 부온도계수(NTC) 소자, 인쇄회로기판과 같은 수동 부품만을 포함하는 RCS는 전자식 RCS로 간주하지 않는다. 가정용 및 이와 유사한 용도의 전기기계식 접촉기는 IEC 61095의 적용 범위에 속한다.

IEC 60669-1:2017, Clause 1 is applicable except as follows:Replacement of the first paragraph with the following:This part of IEC 60669 applies to electromagnetic remote control switches (hereinafter referred to as electromagnetic RCS) with a rated voltage not exceeding 440 V AC and a rated current not exceeding 63 A, intended for household and similar fixed electrical installations, either indoors or outdoors. For the control circuit, the rated control voltage does not exceed 440 V AC or 220 V DC.The RCS coil can be either permanently energized or not permanently energized.Electronic RCS are within the scope of IEC 60669-2-1 but not of this document.RCS including only passive components such as resistors, capacitors, positive temperaturecoefficient (PTC) and negative temperature coefficient (NTC) components and printed circuit boards are not considered to be electronic RCS.Electromechanical contactors for household and similar purposes are within the scope ofIEC 61095.
