Interim final rule; request for comment - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is taking interim final action to extend the reporting deadline under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule for reporting year 2025 data from 30 October 2026, to 10 March 2027. This final action only changes the reporting deadline for annual greenhouse gas reports for reporting year 2025 and makes no other changes to the rule. The EPA is requesting comments on all aspects of this interim final rule.This interim final rule is effective on 14 October 2026. Comments on this rule must be received on or by 30 November 2026. If anyone contacts the EPA requesting a public hearing on or before 19 October 2026, the Agency will hold a virtual public hearing. To request a virtual public hearing, contact the public hearing team at (888) 372-8699 or by email at NRDpublichearing@epa.gov. If requested, the hearing will be held via virtual platform on 29 October 2026.
